The Connecticut State Capitol faces north overlooking Bushnell Park. The escalators to the underground concourse connecting to the LOB are located on the first floor directly opposite the Capitol's north doors.
The Connecticut League of Women Voters offers tours of the Capitol and the Legislative Office Building (LOB). They are located in room 101 on the first floor to the left of the escalators. Visit their Capitol Tours website.
There are TV monitors hanging on the walls on the first floor that display event schedules and locations as well as committee and office locations.
The House of Representatives meets in the House Chambers located on the second floor of the Capitol during times of session. The House session may be viewed from the House Gallery that can be accessed by either main stairway between the third and fourth floors.
The State Senate meets in the Senate Chambers located on the third floor of the Capitol during times of session. The Senate session may be viewed from either Senate Gallery that can be accessed from the fourth floor.
The Governor, Lieutenant Governor and the Secretary of the State also have offices in the State Capitol building.
