AN ACT PROHIBITING HEALTH INSURERS FROM USING SOFTWARE TOOLS TO AUTOMATICALLY DOWNCODE HEALTH INSURANCE CLAIMS.
To prohibit any health insurer from using a software tool, including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence or an algorithm, to automatically downcode or deny a health insurance claim submitted by a health care provider without detailed review by a clinical peer.
