AN ACT CONCERNING DISTINCT BILLING SYSTEMS FOR HOSPITALS AND OFF-CAMPUS PROVIDER DEPARTMENTS OF HOSPITALS.
To require: (1) Off-campus provider departments of hospitals to obtain a separate national provider identifier and tax identification number from the main hospital campus; and (2) hospitals to use industry standard paper and electronic billing forms when billing for services provided at off-campus outpatient sites.
