AN ACT REQUIRING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO RECEIVE TRAINING CONCERNING AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER.
To protect state residents by requiring each law enforcement officer to receive training on the nature of autism spectrum disorder and identifying and appropriately responding to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, thereby deescalating situations involving individuals with autism spectrum disorder and law enforcement officers.
