AN ACT CREATING A STATE CAUSE OF ACTION FOR THE UNAUTHORIZED DISCLOSURE OF PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION IN VIOLATION OF THE FEDERAL HEALTH INSURANCE PORTABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT.
To establish a state cause of action for the unauthorized disclosure of protected health information in violation of the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
