AN ACT CONCERNING THE DATE ON WHICH A CHILD MUST TURN FIVE YEARS OLD IN ORDER TO ENROLL IN KINDERGARTEN.
To make Connecticut more consistent with other states and to improve academic outcomes by requiring students to have reached age five by August first of the year they enter kindergarten.
