AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO GRANT WAIVERS FOR IMPLEMENTING A READING CURRICULUM MODEL OR PROGRAM.
To require the Department of Education to grant waiver to local or regional boards of education from implementing a reviewed and recommended reading curriculum model or program unless the department can demonstrate that the reading curriculum model or program in use by such board does not meet the requirements set forth in section 10-14hh of general statutes.
