AN ACT CONCERNING THE INTENTIONAL FEEDING, ATTRACTING OR ENTICING OF BLACK BEARS, THE TAKING OF BEARS THAT DAMAGE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS OR LIVESTOCK AND THE USE OF FORCE AGAINST WILDLIFE.
To limit interactions between humans and wild bears in Connecticut in order to protect both wildlife and human life and livelihood by curbing human behavior that threatens the ability of bears to live in the wild, enabling farmers to protect their livelihoods from the depredation caused by bears and clarifying the ability of a person to protect themselves in the event of an attack by a bear.
