AN ACT CONCERNING LIFELONG LEARNING ACCOUNTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish for employees of all ages in the manufacturing, health care and biotechnology sectors a lifelong learning account program that allows such employees to open and contribute to employer and third-party-matched portable educational accounts that such employees can use to finance their education and training.

Statement of Purpose:

To establish a lifelong learning account program for workers in the manufacturing, health care and biotechnology sectors.
