Explanation

Section 1 of the amendment appropriates $13 million to the Department of Social Services (DSS) for the purposes of increasing 1) the subsidy for family child care providers in certain settings in the child care subsidy program, and 2) the benefit for consumers receiving services from a personal care attendant (PCA) under a state-funded program.

Section 2 appropriates $2 million to DSS to establish a training program for certain family child care providers participating in the child care subsidy program and PCAs providing services under a state-funded program.
