OFA Fiscal Note
The amendment will result in increased costs the state employee and retiree health plan and self insured municipalities who do not have reserves and sufficient net worth to comply with the provisions currently in statute. The state employee and retiree plan does not currently have any reserves.
In addition, the state and self-insured municipalities may incur increased administrative costs to comply with the financial reporting provisions required by CGS 38a-53.
The extent of the increased cost is not known.
