The meeting was called to order at 3:42 PM by Chairman, Sen. Coleman E. S02.

Chair Coleman called the meeting to order at 3:42 p.m.
Chair Coleman welcomed everyone to the meeting and noted that the committee was meeting to act on the proposed interim change to the Conservation and Development Policies Plan, 2005 – 2010 from the Town of Bolton. Chair Coleman also noted that the votes would be held open until 4:30 pm.
Without objection Chair Coleman opened the meeting to a discussion between the committee and members from the Office of Policy and Management and government representatives from the Town of Bolton.
The committee and members from OPM and the Town of Bolton discussed the impetus for the proposal to change the Conservation and Development Polices Plan and the intended use for the change in land designation and future development, along with traffic and transportation concerns.
Chair Coleman asked for a motion to approve the Town of Bolton’s proposed interim change to the Conservation and Development Policies Plan, 2005 – 2010 in the Town of Bolton to create two new Rural Community Center designations along the Route 44 corridor and to reduce the existing Rural Community Center designation to the Town of Bolton’s government center.
So moved by Rep. Roy and seconded by Sen. Crisco.
Chair Coleman asked the clerk to call roll vote to approve the Town of Bolton’s proposed interim change to the Conservation and Development Policies Plan, 2005 – 2010 in the Town of Bolton to create two new Rural Community Center designations along the Route 44 corridor and to reduce the existing Rural Community Center designation to the Town of Bolton’s government center.
Clerk Eric C. Stroker called roll: seven yea, zero nay, three absent. The motion passed.
Chair Coleman noted that this was the only business before the Continuing Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development and had no planned future meetings. He also noted that the votes were being held open until 4:30 pm and at that time the committee would be adjourned.
Chair Coleman recessed the committee meeting at 3:55 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
