When operating a motor vehicle on the State
Capitol campus, please ensure that you drive safely and adhere to
posted speed and traffic control signage and roadway markings.
Also, please ensure you park appropriately and in
compliance with posted regulations.
Visitor
Parking - The security system will limit visitor parking to the
first floor of the Legislative Office Garage. Visitors will be
allowed to pull into the first floor and park in any lined parking
spot. There are a limited number of overflow parking spaces
for visitors available in the basement and roof of the Legislative Office
Garage. Please see the security personnel monitoring parking for
instructions.
Remote Overflow
Parking - Once on site parking is full drivers will be directed
to the Forest Street, State Lot C and take the shuttle bus to the
Capitol Complex. The first shuttle bus run starts at Lot C at
6:25 am and arrives at on Flower Street at 6:34. The shuttle
bus does make some stops along the way and operates every 20 minutes
throughout the day. The last stop of the day is at Lot C at
5:47 pm.
Non-reserved
Employee Parking - The security system controls access to
the upper levels of the Legislative Office Garage. Only vehicles with parking
permits and ID cards will be able to enter this area during business
hours. With the reserved parking on level 2, staff should
proceed to level 2 ½ and the roof for parking.
Reserved
Parking - Assigned parking is located on level 2 of the
Legislative Office Garage.
The Capitol Police
enforce parking regulations and may tow unauthorized vehicles. The speed
limit on the complex roadways is 10 mph and 5 mph in the parking garage.
There is no charge for parking. Questions or concerns about parking may be
