The Senate was called to order at 10: 22 a. m. in accordance with the provisions of Senate Rule 9(b), and under the authority of the President Pro Tempore and the Senate Minority Leader.

'AN ACT CONCERNING STUDENT FEES', to permit funds generated from voluntary student fees collected by a nonpartisan student organization that intends to lobby or engage a lobbyist to be controlled by such nonpartisan student organization at the will of the students and make technical changes to the sections of the general statutes governing the management of trustee accounts.

INSURANCE AND REAL ESTATE

'AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEES' PENSIONS SOLVENCY', to require a request for information to gather data and evaluate ways the state can improve the level of funding for state retirement and pension benefits, including, but not limited to, state-owned life insurance policies issued on state employees or state retirees or both, special purpose trusts or other investment vehicles.

H. B. No. 6612 (RAISED) INSURANCE AND REAL ESTATE. 'AN ACT CONCERNING THE HEALTH INSURANCE GRIEVANCE PROCESS FOR ADVERSE DETERMINATIONS, THE OFFICE OF THE HEALTHCARE ADVOCATE AND MENTAL HEALTH PARITY COMPLIANCE CHECKS', to make changes to the health carrier review process for grievances of adverse determinations and final adverse determinations, to amend the Office of the Healthcare Advocate statutes to reflect said office's additional duties, and to require the Insurance Commissioner to select and use a method to check health insurance companies' and other entities' compliance with state and federal mental health parity laws and report on the results of such checks.
