"AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE USE OF MARIJUANA. "
After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:
"Sec. 501. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision of law, the provisions of sections 1 to 17, inclusive, of this act, section 19 of this act and subsection (e) of section 21a-243 of the general statutes, as amended by this act, shall not be effective until the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary receives written notice from the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut that the office of such United States Attorney will not prosecute a dispensary licensed under section 9 of this act or a producer licensed under section 10 of this act, or any employee thereof, who is in compliance with the provisions of sections 1 to 17, inclusive, of this act. "
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
