AN ACT CONCERNING FOSTER CHILDREN IN HIGHER EDUCATION.

SUMMARY:

This bill requires state agencies to give current or former foster children priority over similarly qualified applicants for internship hiring and placements. A former foster child up to age 26 is eligible for the preference if he or she was in foster care at age 18.

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2012
