OLR BACKGROUNDER: RACIAL BREAKDOWN OF INMATES HELD ON BOND

We compared data provided by the Department of Correction for March 10, 2010 and January 1, 2011. The number of inmates held on bond on each date and the percentage in each racial and ethnic category did not vary much. Table 1 shows the racial breakdown of this population.
