AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF PAYROLL DEBIT CARDS.

SUMMARY:

This bill requires Connecticut employers who use payroll debit cards as an alternative to paper checks to (1) offer their employees the option of receiving a paper check and (2) inform the employees of any fees associated with the use of the card.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 1, 2009
