AN ACT CONCERNING DISEASE PREVENTION IN THE CORRECTIONAL SYSTEM.

SUMMARY:

This bill requires the correction commissioner to develop and implement policies and procedures to reduce the incidence and transmission of infectious and communicable diseases. By February 3, 2010, she must report to the Judiciary Committee on the implementation and effectiveness of these policies and procedures.

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon passage
