AN ACT CONCERNING PAROLE AND PROBATION TRANSPARENCY.

SUMMARY:

This bill requires the Department of Correction to notify police chiefs and municipal chief elected officials every 30 days of the (1) name and address of inmates released into their communities on probation or parole or into a community release program within the previous 30 days and (2) support and assistance the offenders are receiving to facilitate their reentry into the community.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 1, 2009
