"AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE USE OF MARIJUANA. "

After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:

"Sec. 501. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2007) There shall be established a division within the Department of Agriculture to oversee marijuana cultivated for palliative use under sections 1 to 9, inclusive, of this act. The division shall: (1) Control the distribution of such marijuana to qualifying patients; (2) provide guidance for the care and maintenance of marijuana plants to qualifying patients, primary caregivers and physicians; and (3) provide administrative services for studies concerning the palliative use of marijuana. "
