AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE USE OF MARIJUANA.
AMENDMENT
LCO No.: 8216
File Copy No.: 878
House Calendar No.: 348
Senate Calendar No.: 633
OFA Fiscal Note
Explanation
The amendment prevents a charge to an employer's unemployment compensation experience rating if an employee is separated due to an inability directly related to their permitted use of marijuana. The number of individuals that could be separated on this basis is unknown, as is their availability and competency to perform under different employment. However, it is anticipated that the total amount of benefits paid from the Unemployment Compensation Fund would be unaffected by the amendment.
