Explanation
The Department of Public Health will incur a cost, which may be significant in magnitude, to establish a mandatory educational program for qualifying patients about the health risks of marijuana use. The exact cost will depend upon the scope of the educational program, which cannot be determined at this time.
No funding has been included within sHB 7077 (the FY 08-09 Biennial Budget, as favorably reported by the Appropriations Committee) for this purpose.
