AN ACT CONCERNING THE ZONING REGULATION OF ADULT ESTABLISHMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2007) The zoning commission of each municipality may establish as part of the zoning regulations adopted under section 8-2 of the general statutes or any special act regulations (1) prohibiting the location of an adult establishment within one thousand feet of any public or governmental use and requiring the purchaser of an adult establishment existing on the date of adoption of the regulations to comply with such regulations, (2) regulating the hours and operation of adult establishments, including the hours and operation of adult establishments existing on or before the date of adoption of the regulations and adult establishments that are nonconforming uses, and (3) defining adult establishments.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||

Statement of Purpose:
To authorize zoning commissions to regulate the siting of adult establishments.
