AN ACT CONCERNING PARENTAL NOTIFICATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 19a-600 of the general statutes be amended to require that no abortion shall be performed on an unemancipated minor under eighteen years of age unless the person who is to perform the procedure has provided forty-eight hours of advance notice to a parent or legal guardian of such minor.

Statement of Purpose:

To require that notice be given to a parent or legal guardian prior to the performance of an abortion on an unemancipated minor.
