"AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE USE OF MARIJUANA. "

Strike lines 3 to 8, inclusive, in their entirety and insert the following in lieu thereof:

"(1) "Debilitating medical condition" means (A) cancer, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or such other disease resulting in intractable pain that is resistant to documented standard medical treatments, or (B) those patients at the end of their life cycle residing in hospice or in a general hospital population as well as those desiring to expire at home; "
