"AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE USE OF MARIJUANA. "
Change the effective date of sections 1 to 10, inclusive, to "Effective October 1, 2009"
After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:
"Sec. 501. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Agriculture shall establish a pilot program for the palliative use of marijuana by not more than one hundred qualifying patients. Not later than January 1, 2009, the commissioner shall submit a report to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary, public health and public safety, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, concerning the effect of the palliative use of marijuana on qualifying patients and on law enforcement. The pilot program established under this section shall terminate on October 1, 2009. "
