The House of Representatives was called to order at 1: 01 o'clock p. m. , Representative Ritter of the 1st District in the Chair.

Prayer was offered by the guest Chaplain, Mary Alice Hughes of East Hartford, Connecticut.

The following is the prayer:

Let us pray. Almighty God, inspire us in our responses to the pressing needs of Your people. Grant us wisdom so that what we accomplish may produce a better future for our State. Amen.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mary Alice Hughes of East Hartford, Connecticut.
