The House of Representatives was called to order at 11: 50 o'clock a. m. , Representative Sanchez of the 25th District in the Chair.

Prayer was offered by Assistant Chaplain, Reverend Garland D. Higgins of West Hartford, Connecticut.

H. B. No. 6420 (RAISED) HOUSING. 'AN ACT CONCERNING AFFORDABLE HOUSING', to amend the statute governing the affordable housing land use appeals process.

H. B. No. 6423 (RAISED) PUBLIC HEALTH. 'AN ACT CONCERNING RADIATION SAFETY IN HEALTH CARE', to require documentation of CT scan radiation doses and reporting of certain events involving the use of a CT scan to the Department of Public Health, health care providers and patients.

H. B. No. 6424 (RAISED) PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING FEES FOR SEARCHES OF ACCIDENT AND INVESTIGATIVE REPORTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES AND PUBLIC PROTECTION', to require a person who requests to inspect an accident or investigative report of the department, but not obtain a copy thereof, pay a search fee.

H. B. No. 6425 (RAISED) PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING FIRE SAFETY ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS', to streamline the process for the certification of fire safety enforcement officials, recognize training programs offered by private institutions, authorize local fire marshals to delegate their authority to subordinates with respect to all fire safety regulations and authorize communities to appoint fire inspectors and investigators.

'AN ACT PROHIBITING LANDLORDS FROM REQUIRING TENANTS TO PAY RENT BY CASH OR ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER', to prohibit landlords from requiring cash payments for rent and security deposits except where a tenant has previously attempted to make a rent or security deposit payment with a check drawn on insufficient funds or on which the tenant has stopped payment.

PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY

S. B. No. 897 (RAISED) PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING REGULATION OF FIREARMS', to make revisions concerning the offenses of carrying a firearm and hunting while under the influence, the information required on a receipt for the delivery of a firearm, the fees for and issuance of a handgun eligibility certificate and the officials required to be notified of a gun show.

S. B. No. 898 (RAISED) PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING CHANGES TO CERTAIN STATUTES AFFECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES AND PUBLIC PROTECTION', to establish a timeframe in which an applicant for a license as a security officer must successfully complete the required training and to shorten the timeframe in which the Department of Children and Families must request the performance of a criminal history records check on a person residing in a home where a child has been placed on an emergency basis.
